Before fence staining in Chicago you must first clean the wood properly and let it dry for at least a couple of days we have a special meter that lets us know when the moisture content of the wood is OK to accept stain.

Another very important factor in fence staining in Chicago is you cannot just spray the stain on like so many people do…Not if you want it to last.

If you want the stain to last it not only has to be applied to a clean and dry surface you need to work the product in with a stain brush.
